Dan Severn is a legend to MMA fighers around the world. He is a UFC Hall of Famer, the only Triple Crown Champion, and a 2 time NWA Champion. Today Dan travels the globe giving seminars, instructing law enforcement officials, and making appearances at various sporting events.
Dan Severn was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame during UFC 52.
He has an official UFC Record of 70-13-7 (W-L-D) and a professional MMA Record of 101-19-7. Along with being a UFC Hall of Famer, he is also a former UFC Superfight Champion!
In 1994, Dan started competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championships.
He was the first world-class wrestler to enter the UFC, foreshadowing the period of dominance by wrestlers such as Don Frye in UFC 8 and 9 and Mark Coleman in UFC 10 and 11. Dan entered the UFC in 1994 at UFC 4: Revenge of the Warriors, where he impressed many UFC fans by executing two impressive back suplexs on Anthony Macias.

On May 17, 1996, Dan Severn was crowned the UFC Superfight Champion in his home state of Michigan. Dan Severn defeated “The World’s Most Dangerous Man,” Ken Shamrock to regain the title of UFC Superfight Champion. He is the only triple crown UFC champion in the sport today.
He has won two eight-man tournaments and “The Ultimate Ultimate” 1996, which pitted champions and runner-ups against each another to determine the true champion of the sport.
Dan Severn won his first NWA Championship Belt in 1995 and another one in 2001.
He entered the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in 1995 and defeated Chris Candido for his first NWA World Heavyweight Championship!
Dan was the first and only man to hold an MMA and professional wrestling championship simultaneously! He went on to hold the NWA Championship for four years, the longest reign in over two decades and currently the third-longest reign in the belt’s history!
